Oculas Rift

If we’re lucky enough in 2014 we all might have a chance to see a truly immersive technology come out for gaming. With this amazing breakthrough of technology we can finally almost feel like we’re in the game. If it’s successful enough we may very well see this in many peoples homes in the next few years and who knows what kind of interesting games could be played on it since the possibilities are almost endless.

Now next thing on the list for immersive gaming is incorporating this device with mind control or brain waves, which sounds silly but there are people out there working on such a thing.

The Steam OS System

Valve has a new idea to change what platforms we play as we know it. With this Linux based computer/console it gives users and developers a chance to jump into a more open gaming platform that can be played in their living room. We don’t know much more about it just yet other then it just might make many people switch from Xbox, Playstation, and Wii to Valves device. But one thing is for sure is that the controllers is a very interesting piece of work that has a touch screen and two circular trackpads. Not to mention Valve has made the controller easy to mod which allows the user to configure how he or she wants it to work. I am personally looking forward to seeing where this goes in the coming years.

In the future certain games will be implementing 3D virtual reality which by the time games start normally coming out with these features we will be barely be able to tell what is real or not in a game. Now after this technology who knows what’s going to be next.

Soon enough by 2023 there will be small fleets of Google cars driving on the roads. A company called Uber has made a deal with Google to purchase 2,500 for their transportation services. Uber has also agreed to share information the cars gather on their travels to send to Google so that they can improve the cars navigation algorithms. This deal will cost Uber $375 million dollars. After 2023 who knows how many more Google cars will be self-driving themselves on the roads all over the world.

Youtube

With over 4 billion hours of views each month and in 2012 over 72 hours of video uploaded each minute Youtube keeps becoming more and more popular. But there becomes a problem with being the audience while watching all these videos and being subscribed to 150 people. Which videos do you watch with your very limited amount of time? Youtubes answer is One Channel. This is where Youtubers can have a first time impression welcoming video on viewers that are not subscribed yet to their channel. So this can be used to persuade people to subscribe to them. With this little implement can be used for newer youtubers to get them on their feet and start possibly getting some recognition for all that hard work.
